I use Super, have always used it and always will, I hate IE and wish it did not exist. I have no problem getting the software from the eRight site with Firefox. I have Xilisoft Video converter Ultimate and don't us it very much because Super works better. I love the auto stretch function fofr5 all the letter box videos I get stuck with. I love the Crop feature for when I find a letter box video that I must have originally done in Xilisoft. There's only one video format I have to use River Past for and that's Type 1 DVAVI compatible for Premiere. I use Norton Ghost 15 and keep a clean restore of all my systems, so I don't care about spyware or virus infections. Even if you don't have an image of your clean OS and software computers love to be erased and re-loaded. So erase your today if you are having any problems.

I don`t believe it IS malware. But the download is really tricky. I got my SUPER from www.chip.de They check the software for malware.
Cheers!

This program is SUSPICIOUS AND SHADY AS HELL!! NO Legitimate program would behave like this one does. I noticed extremely suspicious spyware-like files in my system32 folder: Smab0.dll, VistaUltm.dll, marked Hidden, and upon analyzing the EXEs, I determined they are encrypted and packed just like a virus! No legitimate program would use these tactics. There is no Version info like a normal program, to indicate the source and vendor of these files. The only way I correlated them with Super was the file Creation date along with lots of internet reports confirming it.

Right clicking on these files CRASHED my explorer.exe!! Unbelievable but obviously more proof of how non-standard these binaries are.

Virtually every binary related to Super is packed, encrypted, and compressed. If the program is based 99% off GPL open source, why the need for such virus-like secrecy?

If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, quacks like a duck..... ITS NOT LEGITIMATE!

I don't allow software on my system that disguises itself and tries to hide from me. I'm removing Super today and washing my hands clean of this TRASH.

lmfao I love how so many people posted at 3:55 am on January 27th, 2007. Clearly he was bumping his own article somehow, like a douche bag. Go eat a dick, dipshit.

Hello to all !

I am a big fan of SUPEr and been using it for 2 years, first on XP and lately on Vista. Never had any issue. I encode MKVs and WMVs to my iPod.

I have copied the following text message from another forum:

Quote:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
FFmpeg official website has listed SUPER as part of the FFmpeg-
Based Projects: http://ffmpeg.mplayerhq.hu/projects.html

MEncoder official website has listed SUPER as related projects under Windows: http://www.mplayerhq.hu/design7/projects.html

Microsoft official website identifies SUPER as Vista compatible:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/Search.aspx?type=Software&s=SUPER%20erightsoft

Please, stop spreading the bad-mouth on something you totally ignore !
